"9-1-1: Lone Star" Returns After 15-Month Hiatus – Fox Unveils Fall Premiere Dates!

Exciting news for TV fans: Fox has announced its fall premiere dates, and there are plenty of returning favorites and new series to look forward to. Notably, “9-1-1: Lone Star” is set to make a comeback after a 15-month hiatus caused by the Hollywood strikes.

The Rob Lowe-led drama will return on Monday, September 23, at 8 p.m. This marks the first new episode since May 2023, kicking off a premiere week packed with fresh content.

Fox also made a slight adjustment to its fall lineup. The Joel McHale-hosted show “Crime Scene Kitchen” will now return for its third season in the fall, airing Thursdays at 9 p.m. after Gordon Ramsay’s “Hell’s Kitchen,” which is back for its 23rd season. Originally, “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” was scheduled for that slot but will now debut midseason.

Fox’s fall schedule starts early in September, leveraging NFL games to launch new shows like the animated “Universal Basic Guys,” which premieres on September 8 alongside new episodes of “Bob’s Burgers” and “The Great North.”

Additionally, Fox will use an NFL doubleheader on September 22 to preview the first episode of John Wells’ “Rescue HI-Surf,” before it moves to its regular Monday night slot on September 23. Fox is banking on the success of “Rescue HI-Surf,” even scheduling an episode to air after Super Bowl LIX on February 9.

Other notable premieres include “Murder in a Small Town,” which debuts with a 90-minute episode on Tuesday, September 24. This series will be joined by the second season of “Accused” starting October 1. Reality hits like “The Masked Singer” and “The Floor” will return on Wednesday, September 25.

Midseason will see the arrival of several dramas, including “Alert: Missing Persons Unit,” “The Cleaning Lady,” and “Doc,” as well as comedies like “Animal Control,” “Family Guy,” “Going Dutch,” “The Great North,” and “Grimsburg.”

Unscripted series making a return include “Extracted,” “Lego Masters,” “MasterChef,” “Name That Tune,” and “Next Level Chef.” Special broadcasts like “Lego Masters: Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular” and “The Real Full Monty” are also slated for Fox.

Michael Thorn, president of Fox TV network, expressed his excitement for the upcoming season. “This year, we created a terrific collection of originals that deepens our network’s legacy of delivering unexpected, unforgettable characters and stories,” he said.

“We’re bullish about the future and optimistic about the fun and engaging entertainment in store for our viewers everywhere.”
